Loan Watch- Episode 2

Welcome to the second instalment of Loan Watch, let’s see how Manchester United’s loanees performed over the weekend.

Andreas Pereira (Currently at Valencia)

Real Betis 3-6 Valencia

Pereira came off the bench to score his first goal for Valencia. The Brazilian scored Valencia’s sixth when he smashed the ball into the top corner, beating the Real Betis goalkeeper from the edge of the box. You can see the goal below.

Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa)

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Aston Villa

Sam Johnstone played the full 90 minutes as Villa lost 2-0 to local rivals Wolves. Johnstone made four saves but it wasn’t enough to earn Villa a point.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah (Crystal Palace)

Crystal Palace 2-1 Chelsea

The versatile youngster came on in midfield for the last five minutes in Palace’s unexpected 2-1 win against Chelsea. This was Crystal Palace’s first win of the campaign and the first time they’ve actually scored this season!

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (Leeds)

Leeds United 0-1 Reading

Borthwick-Jackson wasn’t included in the match day squad for the defeat at home to Reading.

Dean Henderson (Shrewsbury)

Plymouth Argyle 1-1 Shrewsbury Town

Henderson played the whole game as Shrewsbury were held to a draw at bottom-placed Plymouth.

Regan Poole (Northampton)

Northampton Town 0-1 AFC Wimbledon

Regan was an unused substitute in Northampton’s loss against Wimbledon. They currently sit inside the relegation zone.

Devonte Redmond (Scunthorpe)

Rotherham United 2-0 Scunthorpe United

Redmond wasn’t even in the squad for Scunthorpe’s defeat on Saturday.

Matty Willock (Utrecht)

FC Utrecht 3-1 Heerenveen

Willock was an unused substitute this weekend.
